Paul Sticka Obituary
Paul was raised in New England ND where he attended and graduated from St Mary's High School in 1974. He married Laura Semerad in 1977 and together they began their family. Paul worked as a welder/mechanic until they moved to Mesa, AZ in 1986. Later they relocated to Tigard, OR and he worked in metal fabrication. They spent a short time in Central Oregon before moving to Walla Walla, WA in 2003. Paul divorced Laura in 2021 and bought a home in College Place WA where he resided until early 2025.
Paul was an excellent provider for his family and worked to make sure their needs were met. He enjoyed the opportunity to relax and recuperate in the quiet of his home. Paul enjoyed a good old-fashioned Western and watched reruns of the classics. He was a strong-willed yet quiet person with a big heart. Paul tinkered on projects when time allowed. His kids enjoyed time they shared as a family and the rare family outings throughout their life.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents John and Shirley Sticka, and two of his siblings- Ralph Sticka and Mary Lou Sticka.
He is survived by his children, Brandy Sticka (Curtis Wheeldon) of Colville, WA and Andy Sticka of Beaverton, OR. Wendy Sticka of Dickinson, ND; grandchildren- Joshua (Atlanta), Tyler, Lindsay, Lily, Eric and Samantha; great-grandchild- Ellie; siblings- Rita Baer of Richardson, ND, Deb (Jerry) Pachl of Dickinson, ND, Charlie (Nancy) Sticka of Buckley, WA, Janet Baisch (Joe Stover) of Hudson, CO, Linda (Tim) Plemel of Oakes, ND, Kathy (Donnie) Hangas of Bonney Lake, WA and Kristie Sticka (Vincent Colasse) of St Petersburg Florida; a gracious amount of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Paul's Memorial will be planned by his daughter and son for June 2026 in Walla Walla. Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of your choice.
