Paul Stroble Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Smith Brothers Funeral Home - Hampton on Sep. 29, 2025.
Paul Stroble, born November 11, 1945, in South Hill, Virginia, passed away on September 24, 2025 at the age of 79. Paul was the son of hardworking sharecroppers James & Sarah Stroble and one of twelve children. His early years were spent helping his parents in the fields, instilling in him the values of perseverance, humility, and dedication.
He served in the U.S. Air Force, where he would go on to build a distinguished 22-year military career. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, Paul's skills and dedication earned him the honor of being named Mechanic of the World, a recognition of his exceptional talent and work ethic. Paul married his first wife, Azzie with whom he shared 35 years of marriage & two children Paul A. & Konnie until her passing. Later in life, Paul was blessed to meet his devoted wife, Jacqueline, at church.
Together they shared 24 years of marriage, faith, and family, with four bonus children by marriage. Outside of his military career and family life, Paul was known for his passion for automobiles. He had a remarkable gift for diagnosing and repairing cars, often able to determine a problem simply by listening to the engine. His love for cars was matched only by his love for family and the joy he found in helping others. Paul leaves behind a legacy of service, love, and resilience. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Jacqueline, his children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and all who were blessed to know him.

To the Family of Paul Edward Stroble, our deepest condolences, he'll be missed. He was full of wisdom, about vehicles, like a chef about food, knew were everything was supposed to be and why! May God comfort you through this period of time and let you know he was a family man, that cared deeply about his family.
