Paul Samuel Tognazzi, 59, of Gloucester, passed away on September 5, 2025. Born on August 29, 1966, Paul grew up in West Gloucester and will be remembered as a devoted brother, uncle, and friend.

Paul shared a lifelong bond with his sister, Angelia M. Tognazzi, and his brother, E. Thomas Tognazzi Jr. He was especially proud to be "Uncle Paul," embracing the role with love and devotion. He swam with his niece each week, played and laughed with his nephew, and brought joy to his family through his warmth and presence.

A true son of Gloucester, Paul was a loyal Bruins fan, loved Gloucester High Fighting Fishermen football, and never missed the excitement of St. Peter's Fiesta. He was also a great fan of Van Halen. But above all, Paul was a fisherman. Introduced to the trade by his uncles, he worked every inch of the wharf and every job in the fleet. He served as a longtime hand for Capt. Sebastian Noto, who, along with the Noto family, cared for Paul as one of their own. Fishing was not just Paul's profession but his life's calling, and he never spoke a bad word about the work he loved.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Edward T. Tognazzi Sr. and Grace M. Tognazzi, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is survived by his sister, Angelia M. Tognazzi, and his brother, E. Thomas Tognazzi Jr. His absence leaves a deep hole in the hearts of his family and friends, who will remember him always.

May Paul now have calm seas and a full catch.

The family will hold a private celebration for Paul.

Condolences may be made directly to the family.
