Paul M. Venuto passed away peacefully on June 13, 2025, at the age of 82. Devoted husband to his wife, Alice (Dacey) Venuto, loving father to his daughter, Lisa McDonough and her husband Bob of Rockland, MA, and his son, Paul Venuto of Braintree, MA, and brother to Jimmy Venuto of Mansfield and Bobby Venuto of Easton, His role as Papa to Lauren and Michael McDonough was one of his most treasured moments in life. The many cousins and friends who survive him added great joy to his life.
A 1960 graduate of Braintree High School, Paul's passion for baseball started at an early age, earning him the title of Captain of the high school baseball team. His love for baseball continued after graduation where he played in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League. His dedication to baseball was matched only by his commitment to his country, as he honorably served in the United States Air Force.
After proudly serving his country, Paul worked as a software engineer for Raytheon for over three decades, retiring in 2005.
After retirement, Paul could be found on the golf course or having dinner with friends on Friday nights.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, June 20th, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., Braintree. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 21st, at 10:30 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 850 Washington St., Braintree. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph.
