Paul Wolff Obituary

Paul Wolff

June 09, 1967 – September 28, 2025

Paul Wolff, 58, of Virginia Beach, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, leaving behind memories of laughter, loyalty, and an easygoing spirit that touched everyone who knew him.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Paul was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan who never missed a game. Sundays were sacred-spent watching football with friends, a cold beer in hand, and plenty of good-natured banter. His love for the game extended beyond the pros: Paul grew up playing on several Little League baseball teams and remained passionate about the sport throughout his life. Each summer, he looked forward to watching the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, reliving the joy of his own days on the diamond.

Paul found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He loved casting a fishing line into the quiet of a still morning, enjoying a round of golf under a clear sky, camping beneath the stars, and sharing evenings around a campfire with those he loved. His jovial nature and hearty laugh drew people in, while his occasional hardheaded streak was simply part of the charm that made him unmistakably Paul.

He had a deep love for animals-especially dogs-and his compassion for them reflected the gentle heart beneath his rugged exterior.

Paul was preceded in death by his loving parents, Roy and Theresa Wolff, and by his beloved soulmate of sixteen years, Cathy Buechner. He is survived by his two sons, Ethan Wolff and Mason Wolff, who were the pride of his life; his sisters, Kelly Fairhurst (Charlie) and Tena Barton (Tom); and his former wife, Jennifer Wolff. He also leaves behind countless friends and extended family members who will forever cherish his humor, his stories, and the way he could light up a room.

Though his time with us was far too short, Paul's memory will continue to bring smiles and warmth to those who loved him. A private celebration of Paul's life will be held at a later date. In honor of his love for animals, memorial donations may be made to a local animal shelter or rescue of your choice.
