Paul was a proud graduate of Perry High School, finishing in the spring of 1964. He furthered his education with two years of college in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, laying the groundwork for a fulfilling career. For several years, he worked diligently for Ditch Witch, a testament to his hard work ethic and commitment to excellence. Paul was not just a dedicated employee; he also took great pride in farming and ranching, where he raised cattle and contributed to the rich tradition of rural life. He leaves behind cherished cousins—Mark Parks and his wife Cathy, Tom Parks and his wife Michelle, and Iona Rutherford and her husband Lonnie—each of whom will carry fond memories of laughter and celebration with him. Paul's family extends to his nieces and nephews: Jessica Lee and her husband Terry, Crystal Morris and her husband Brent, Brandy Catambacak and her husband Onder, Michael Thompson and his partner Centhany Vannoy, Lillian Thompson, Muriel Thompson and her fiancé, cousin-in-law Marcy Parks and Benjamin Lee. Each of them will hold in their hearts the light that Paul brought into their lives.

Paul's home was also filled with the joyful companionship of his beloved dogs: Boy, Faye, and Little Bit, as well as his treasured 25-year-old tuxedo cat, Trouble, who provided comfort and companionship throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Henry Zemp, Sr., his mother, Lillian May McAllister, and his sister, Cynthia, along with her husband Eddie Hembree and cousin Louie Parks. Paul also leaves behind close friends, including Bill Alexander and Red Dent who will deeply miss the memories they shared.
