Paul Zoratti Obituary
Paul Thomas Zoratti, age 67, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, surrounded by the love of family.
Paul was born on May 3, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan. As a boy, he spent countless hours exploring the meadows around his childhood home, catching pollywogs in the creek, climbing the huge Willow tree, and making memories with his siblings that would last a lifetime. He was a proud graduate of De La Salle Collegiate.
Paul began working at a young age with a neighborhood paper route and later spent time working at Mini Mix Concrete alongside his best friends. His strong work ethic carried him throughout his life, most notably during his more than 30 years with Metro Cars. Paul took pride in his work and built countless friendships and connections during his decades of service. He cherished the camaraderie he shared with his co-workers and clients, and the stories and experiences from those years remained an important part of his life.
Paul also shared a very special bond with his cousins, who were among his earliest companions and lifelong friends. They laughed together, grew together, and created cherished memories that became an anchor of love and connection throughout his life.
Paul had a unique personality marked by his wit, stubborn spirit, and strong will. He loved the outdoors, old westerns, and music that stirred the soul - especially heartfelt old country songs that spoke to life's struggles and joys. Though Paul himself did not play the guitar, he found comfort in his brother's music, often sitting together as his brother played, sharing moments of peace and connection.
While Paul grew up as a boy exploring the meadows, his final days were spent at The Meadows Assisted Living, where he was cared for by an amazing team of caregivers from Jamaica. They gave Paul far more than care - they gave him genuine love, no matter how difficult he could be at times, and Paul loved them in return.
Through it all, Paul's brother and sisters were his greatest supporters, always by his side to cheer him on in his hardest moments - playing guitar, watching westerns, and offering steady encouragement. In those times, Paul witnessed what family truly means, and that love deeply blessed him.
Paul will be remembered as a devoted brother, cousin, uncle, and friend. His life was a testament to resilience, and though he could be challenging at times, he also brought joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories to those who knew him.
Paul is survived by his loving family and friends, all of whom will forever cherish his memory.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at The Meadows Assisted Living for the love and dignity they gave Paul in his final days.
