Paula Caminiti Agule

Mrs. Paula (Caminiti) Agule, 85, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, in Myakka City, Florida. Born on December 1, 1940, in Stamford, Connecticut, Paula was the beloved daughter of Anthony and Lucy Caminiti.

Paula graduated from Stamford High School's class of 1959. While working at Stelma Inc. she met the love of her life, Douglas Agule. The two married on October 26, 1963. They had two children, Darrin and Donna. In July 1973 the family moved to quiet little Bradenton. Family was at the heart of everything Paula did. She was exceptionally kind, generous, and welcoming to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her home was a haven where love flourished and memories were made-especially every Wednesday during "Family Night" dinner when loved ones gathered around the table for a delicious meal filled with laughter and connection.

Paula is survived by her devoted daughter Donna Hefner-Ottey; her son-in-law Bryan Ottey, who was more like a son to her; her cherished grandchildren Elijah Agule, Sam Agule, Daniel Hefner, Massimo Ottey (Yen Nguyen Ottey), and granddaughter Hannah Agule; sister Lucille Wurm. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Douglas Agule and their son Darrin Agule. Her parents Anthony and Lucy Caminiti and her sister, Marie Perrault. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who loved them.

Paula's legacy is one of love, kindness and generosity. A kindness that embraced everyone around her. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
