Paula (Taylor) Boudreau of Lower Wedgeport, Nova Scotia, Canada, passed away suddenly on Feb 18th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in
Cambridge, Massachusetts, on November 27, 1962, to Levina (Richard) Taylor the late Paul Taylor.
Paula grew up in
Burlington, Massachusetts, and graduated from Burlington High School. She often expressed fond memories of the close-knit Winter Street neighborhood families and friends. From a young age, it was evident to all who knew her that she possessed a remarkable artistic spirit and a rare ability to see beauty in everything around her. She was an exceptionally talented painter and gifted freehand artist, with a natural creativity that shaped so much of her life.
In 1985, Paula welcomed her daughter, Nicole Murphy Kinton, and was incredibly proud and overjoyed to become a mother. In 1994, she was blessed with the arrival of a son, Taylor Kinton, completing her family.
While living in Woburn, Paula developed a strong passion for health and fitness. She was an avid gym enthusiast who enjoyed working out. She also had a keen eye for beauty and detail, particularly when it came to fine gems. This interest led her to study gemology, and she later worked as a sales associate at Alpha Omega Jewelers in the Burlington Mall, where her warmth, knowledge, and genuine kindness made her well loved by customers and colleagues alike.
Paula's French Acadian roots run deep in Nova Scotia, as both sides of her family originated from the Atlantic province. She felt a profound connection to the land and all it represented. In time, she made the decision to return permanently, settling in Lower Wedgeport, where she found her soulmate and the love of her life, Daniel Boudreau.
Together, Paula and Daniel shared their seaside home in Lower Wedgeport in the home that Daniel lovingly built. They shared the excitement of going to car shows to proudly display their
1969 Pontiac GTO. Additionally, they spent many hours of quiet appreciation sitting on their deck overlooking the beauty of the open ocean just a stone's throw away. They especially loved watching the sunrise and the moon rising over the ocean, with Paula capturing and sharing its beauty through her photography. She was deeply drawn to the ocean and the sense of peace and freedom it symbolized.
Paula found great fulfillment in caring for others. After proudly completing the NSCC Continuing Care Program, she began working at The Meadows Home for Special Care. She was devoted to the residents, a model employee, and a valued colleague. Caring for others was not just her profession, but a reflection of her compassionate heart.
Gardening was another of Paula's great joys. At her home in Nova Scotia, she and Daniel cultivated a magnificent vegetable and flower garden. She approached gardening with patience, dedication, skill, and above all, love. Everything she planted seemed to flourish under her careful attention.
Paula had a lifelong love of horses. Her first introduction came as a toddler on a merry-go-round ride, when she refused to let go of the horse she was riding. In time, she was fortunate enough to own several horses -Nikki, Miley, Kallie, Dee - each of whom she loved dearly. Her compassion extended to all animals, and throughout her life she cared for many beloved family pets.
Paula was truly a free spirit. She was gifted with incredible patience, found goodness in everyone, and welcomed all into her home with warmth and generosity. She was a special soul whose kindness, creativity, and inner beauty will be missed beyond words.
Paula leaves behind her loving husband, Daniel Boudreau; her children, Nicole Murphy Kinton, Taylor Kinton; step children, Dea Boudreau, and Danaya Boudreau; her mother, Levina (Richard) Taylor; sister, Janice Greaves (Douglas); brothers, Richard Taylor (Jodine) and Andrew Taylor; mother-in-law, Betty Boudreau, sisters-in-law, Susan D. Taylor and June Surette; brother-in-law, Thomas Boudreau (Tania); her grandchildren, Liam, Leo, Alex, Kylie and Tori; as well as many special aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of H. M. Huskilsons Funeral Home, Yarmouth. A celebration of Paula's life will be held by the ocean in Nova Scotia at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paula's memory to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada or the Nova Scotia S.P.C.A.
