Paula Kennttua Green, age 51. Sunrise August 19, 1973, and Sunset April 17, 2025.
Paula was born on August 19, 1973, in Washington, DC. She was born to Velinda Diane Green and Steve Copney. To her family, she was affectionately known as “Peaches”.
She attended school in Beckley, WV, and Columbus, Ohio. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Beckley, WV, and was baptized at an early age. Paula pursued a career in transportation, where she earned her CDLs and was very EXCITED about this accomplishment. After earning her license, she joined the Columbus City Schools transportation department, then decided to transition to Buckeye’s Best Transport. She also worked in the hospitality industry for six years, where she received recognition as top performer and employee of the month.
Paula was known for her love of food, which she showcased in her catering business, House of Love. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, and taking selfies.
Paula’s children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She conducted herself as the “cool” aunt and cousin so that if any of her nieces, nephews, or cousins needed to talk about anything, they could. She loved expressing kindness to her family and friends. She displayed a spirited joy and a generous heart that touched everyone she met. Paula had a deep appreciation for her family.
After a sudden illness, Paula departed this life on April 17, 2025. Preceded in death by her mother, Velinda Diane Green. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Ashley Green (Antonio Hoover-Fiancé) and Dante (Monique Ball-Fiancé) Green, all of Columbus, Ohio. Siblings, one brother and one sister, of Columbus, Ohio. Patrick Green and Nyteria Green. Thirteen grandchildren, Kanyah Green, Tay’Leigha, Dante, Tayana, Tay’Lynn and Taylor Green, Nasair Green-Foster, Calvin Upchurch, Dametrious Edwards, Frankie Tention, Michael Taylor, Taraji Green-Jones, and Romiyah Green. Aunts, Doretha (Duane) Hicks, Raye Washington, Tammy Johnson, & Charlotte (Adrian) Strickland, Uncles, John Green Jr. & Lamont (Nicole-Fiancé’) Green. and many nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins.

Paula will be greatly missed by all those who loved her. Sleep on, Paula; we love you, but God loves you best.
