Paula Kay (Eaton) Vohs passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family members on Monday February 24, 2025.

Services honoring Paula’s life will be Monday, March 3, 2025, at St. Thomas More Church, 11822 Holmes Road, Kansas City, MO 64131. Visitation will be at 10:00 am, Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Lunch will follow the service in More Hall.

Paula was born June 16th, 1940, in St. Joseph, MO to Paul and Helen (Murphy) Eaton.

Paula graduated from St. Joseph Lafayette high school. During her high school years she had many wonderful friends, some of which she stayed in contact with her whole life. She worked as a drug store clerk and was named the Homecoming Queen in 1958. After high school, she worked at Quaker Oats as a bookkeeper until 1963. Later that year, Paula moved to Kansas City and for the next five years was a flight attendant for TWA. It was during this time that Paula met the love of her life, John, and they were married July 18,1964, at St. Mary’s Church in St. Joseph, MO. The newlyweds traveled the world and built several houses in the Grandview, MO, area over the next several years. March 2,1968, they were blessed with their first child, Amy Christine, and then on January 8,1970, Andrew Anthony joined the family. In 1969, John and Paula bought Chamberlin Waterproofing with John being President and Paula was Secretary Treasurer for 54 years. During that time Paula volunteered many hours for many years at places such as the Bishop Sullivan Center, the Catholic Worker House, and St. James Soup Kitchen. Paula became involved in book clubs, the Blue Valley Quilt Guild, and maintained 50+ year old friendships with ‘The Coffee Girls,’ The Over 30 Bikini Squeeze Group, and The Cleaners. Paula was a Blue Ribbon Quilter and won several awards for her beloved quilts. The highlights of Paula’s life were her grandchildren, Morgan, John and Ella. She enjoyed watching the grandchildren swim in baby pools at the farm, almost weekly family dinners, to their annual Christmas shopping outings.

Paula’s father, Paul, preceded her in death in 1995, and her mother, Helen, preceded her in 2015; as well as some nieces and nephews.

Paula is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, John, daughter Amy C. Vohs, and son Andrew A. Vohs (Dana); Grandchildren Morgan E. White (Adam), John T. Vohs, and Ella K. Vohs; Sister Karen Andrew (Mac).
