Paula A. (Maochi) Laird of Pittsburgh passed away on Thursday July 24th, 2025, at her residence. Born on July 8, 1961, in Ellwood City, PA to Phyllis and Paul Maochi, Paula graduated from Lincoln (Ellwood City) High School in 1979 and Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Degree in Accounting in 1983.

An extremely kind-hearted person, Paula left an indelible mark on those who knew her, and those she met. Always offering the brightest smile and warmest greeting. She was attentive to her friends and family and lovingly followed their adventures, life events and accomplishments. She treasured her daily conversations with her mother, family vacations to the beach, working in the garden, and admittedly could not go a day without the Hallmark Channel.

Paula is survived by her husband Kevin J. Laird of Pittsburgh, her mother Phyllis Maochi of Ellwood City, brother James (Audrey) Maochi of Bridgeville and brother-in-law David Sheldon of Kalispell, Montana; she was preceded in death by her father Paul Maochi and sister Valerie Sheldon. Adored by her family and extended family of brothers and sisters in-law and especially her 23 nieces and nephews and 15 great nieces and nephews, Paula cherished and loved them as well. Kevin will miss his wife dearly and will forever be grateful to her for having said "YES" and "I DO" to him.

Friends will be received at John A. Freyvogel Sons, Inc. 4900 Centre Avenue at Devonshire Street (freyvogelfuneralhome.com) on Friday August 15, 2025 from 2-7PM. Funeral Saturday, August 16, Mass of Christian Burial St. James Church of St. Mary Magdalene Parish, 718 Franklin Avenue Pittsburgh, PA 15221 at 11:30AM. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Paula's name to the Divine Grace Social Services 300 Crescent Ave., Ellwood City PA 16117 or the National Kidney Foundation 2403 Sidney St., Ste. 205 Pittsburgh PA 15203.
