Paula Marie Spencer Lund, age 78, of Roosevelt, passed away on August 1, 2025 at her home with her son by her side.
Paula was born September 12, 1946 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Paul Haglund and Myrl Wilson Spencer. She married Lester Irving Lund on September 6, 1970. He died May 15, 2011.
Paula loved working in her yard, both with flowers and garden, her green thumb could grow about anything. Paula became a Licensed Practical Nurse, she worked in a hospital for a while and then was employed by the Salt Lake County Jail to take care of the inmates. She was creative, enjoyed crafts, sewing, quilting, reading and loved dogs, especially her dog, “Chewy”.
She loved her family and was very supportive of their choices and decisions. She was a good mother, who would do anything for her two sons. She was always a hard worker and always kept busy.
She is survived by her son, David Paul (Jay Knapton) Lund and her siblings, John Spencer, Gordon (Rhonda) Spencer, Judy (Steve) Coy, Jerry Spencer and numerous nieces, nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lester, her son, Steven Lester, and sister, Becky Wilson.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 10:00 AM, at the Central Park Chapel. A viewing will be held that morning from 9:00 - 9:45 AM.
Burial will be at the Lake Hills Cemetery, 10055 South State Street, Sandy, Utah at 3:00 PM.
