Paula Lynn (Rukes) Maurice-Shoaff was born 1-15-1952 in Terre Haute IN to Ezra and Mary Rukes. She passed away 11-8-25 at her home in Clinton IN. She was 73 years old.

Paula was the youngest of five children and attended Rosedale High School.

Paula had been professionally employed in retail with Meis department store, Rosenblatt's department store, and Walmart. She was also employed by the City of Clinton.

Paula was an active member of Victory Baptist Church where she served her Lord in many different ministries. Paula had a very caring heart and was always willing to help those in need. She had been active in the Emmaus Community as well.

For at least the last twenty years her main focus, besides church, was her family. Children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed immensely the time spent with all of them.

She is survived by her husband Tom Shoaff of Clinton. Also, her son Greg Maurice and (granddaughter Kaydin), Daughter Jennifer Maurice and (grandson Hunter Hastings and granddaughter Haiden Jenkins) both of Clinton. Granddaughter Erin Simpson (Nash) and (great-granddaughter Navy and great-grandson Beckham) of Terre Haute. Granddaughter Paige Evans (Matt) and (great-grandson Carter) of Ft. Wayne.

In addition, she is also survived by stepsons Stan Shoaff (Brooke) and their children (Chayse, Brayden, Maddy, Reyce, Deegan, and Eden) of Galveston IN and Tim Shoaff (Sheena) and their children (Mia, Kai, Elle, Lydia, and Jude) of Kokomo IN. Paula is also survived by two brothers Stan Rukes (Beth) of Rockville and Steve Rukes (Carol) of Bradford, Ohio and many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins in Indiana and Texas.

Paula was preceded in death by her brother Terry Rukes of Texas, her sister Christine Keller of Terre Haute, her parents Ezra and Mary Rukes as well as her son Paul Edward Maurice.

In as much as Paula requested to be cremated a memorial service will be held at her home church, Victory Baptist Church, 133 S. Washington Street in Clinton Indiana on November 15. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00PM (EST) with a brief service following.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Victory Baptist Church.
