Paula Pender, formerly known as Paula Cotherman, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, in Venice, Florida, with her family by her side. Born on October 10, 1952, in Steubenville, Ohio, she was the beloved daughter of Ann and Paul Cotherman, who preceded her in death.

Paula was a kind and devoted mother, leaving behind a loving family: her son, Phillip Pender, along with his wife, Christina; her daughter, Rebecca Queen, and her husband, Rod; and her cherished grandchildren, Cole Queen, Michelle Sills-Pender, and Addison Queen. Paula also held a special place in her heart for her brother and sister-in-law, Ross and Connie Cotherman, sister-in-law Lori Pender, sister Joan Cotherman, as well as her nephews/nieces, including Eric Robinett (Addie), Drew Robinett, Courtney Cotherman (Alberto), Emily Robinett, and Danny Cotherman, and her great nephew/niece, Dylan and Rylie.

Paula's infectious smile and caring nature lit up every room she entered. Described as beautiful, easy-going, and always happy, she touched the lives of those around her with her kindness, loyalty, and compassion. Her passion for life was evident in the time she spent with family and friends, her love for the Tampa Bay Rays, her enjoyment of sunsets and game shows. Paula was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Michelle Pender, and will be remembered fondly as a guiding light in the lives of her loved ones.

A memorial service will be held in her honor on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11 AM at Farley Funeral Home, located at 265 Nokomis Ave S, Venice, FL 34285. A reception will follow the service, providing a time for family and friends to gather and celebrate Paula's remarkable life. Her family invites all who knew and loved Paula to join in remembering the beautiful spirit she was.
