It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Paula Sue Pitts, a sister, mother, grandmother, and a genuine soul, who left us on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on Sunday, October 2, 1960, in Ironton, Missouri. She was a member of the Bethany First Baptist Church in Iron County.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Edward and Lillian (InMan) Hartwick; two daughters, Amanda Pitts and Rebecca Sue Pitts; siblings, Henry Lee Hartwick, Joe Hartwick, June “Sis” (Jim) Caby Janice McCarron, and James Hartwick.
Paula was known for her hands-on approach to life—she was the kind of person who rolled up her sleeves and got things done. She lived a simple life, always ready to lend a hand to those in need, and her generous spirit touched the lives of many.
She leaves behind her two beloved sons, Aamon and wife Marlaina and Argus Pitts and wife Katie Burgdorf; two grandsons, Aamon Pitts, Jr. and Argus Pitts, IV, five siblings, Curtis (Diane) Hartwick, Paul Hartwick, Tony Hartwick, Patricia (David) Glaskey and Theresa Rennie; sisters in-law, Theresa Diane Hartwick and Carla Hartwick; brother in-law, Johny McCarron; along with several nieces and nephews.
Rest in peace, Paula. You will be deeply missed but always remembered.
