Paula Jean “P.J.” Reyburn
June 4, 1958 – March 26, 2026
It is with profound sadness that the family of Paula Jean (Dilts) Reyburn announces her passing on March 26, 2026. Born in Marion, Indiana, on June 4, 1958, Paula (P.J.) lived a life defined by an unwavering love for everyone she met and a strong, deep-seated faith that she practiced at Rock Calvary Chapel in Port Charlotte, Florida.
Her 1992 Associate Degree in Accounting with Honors from Indiana Vocational Technical College was instrumental in her Marion, Indiana businesses including Reyburn Farms, Risque, and Scrap A Snap. When she and Wade moved to Port Charlotte, Florida in 2003, Paula enjoyed working at Charlotte County Chiropractic and Sports Clinic before continuing her education to become a Certified Ophthalmic Technician while working at the Community Eye Center for fourteen years.
A woman of remarkable talent, Paula could do anything she put her mind to. She was a true artist, not by trade, but by heart, using her creativity to share joy with the world. Whether she was playing the saxophone, scrapbooking, or mastering photography and resin art, her hands were always busy creating beauty. She was especially known for her painted rocks, which she adorned with inspirational quotes and left in public places for strangers to discover.
Paula’s heart for others was perhaps best seen in her kitchen and her home. A gifted host, she loved to share her "world-famous" deviled eggs and seven-layer taco salad. Her final act of generosity, organ donation, was a perfect reflection of how she lived her life: always giving of herself to help others.
She leaves behind a legacy of love with many who will cherish her memory, including her devoted husband, Wade, who loved her dearly during their forty years of marriage; her mother, Vera Foust; her brother, Mike Dilts; her sons, Don Bridges (Kandi) and Cole (Angie); and her daughter, Vera Skiver (Shannon). She was the proud grandmother of grandsons Chance Bridges (Brigett), Kevin (Jordan) and John (Bre) Dooley, Timothy Skiver, and Nate and Logan Shinkle and granddaughters Jennie Bridges and Kylee Shinkle, as well as three great-grandsons. Her brother, Timothy Dilts, and two grandsons, Keith and Zachary Dooley, preceded her in death.
Paula was greatly loved by those who had the wonderful privilege of knowing her. Her art, warmth, hugs and smiles will be deeply missed.
