Paula Jane (Wyatt) Robbins of Maurertown, VA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
Paula was born January 18, 1941, to Elmer and Caroline (Veach) Wyatt in Cincinnati, Ohio. She moved to the Shenandoah County area from Brantley, AL, in 2002.
She attended New Richmond High School, in Ohio and was a graduate of LBW College in Andalusia, AL. She was married to Douglas Jay Robbins on June 22, 1957 in Ohio.
Paula spent much of her life working with and spending time with her beloved Saint Bernard dogs. She traveled with her dogs to AKC shows around the country for over 50 years. At the age of 63, she volunteered with the US Peace Corps and traveled to West Africa where she worked to educate and train others on best practices in agriculture and business management.
She is survived by daughter, Jennifer K (Robbins) Hanger, and son-in-law, Steven M Hanger of Maurertown, VA; four Grandchildren: Maggie Sumner, Gregory Smith, Cheyenne "Blu" McSheridan, and Winston Douglas McSheridan and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by former husband Douglas Jay Robbins; daughter Carolyn Jane (Robbins) Pagel; brother Steve E Wyatt; father Elmer Wyatt and mother, Caroline (Veach) Spurgeon.
In keeping with Paula Robbins' wishes, no formal services will be held; however, a gathering of family and friends for a day of memories will be held at the home of Jennifer and Steve Hanger in Maurertown, VA, on Saturday, November 1st. In memory donations to the Saint Bernard Club of America's Charitable Foundation are welcome. https://sbcacharitablefoundation.org
