Paula Shuler Obituary
She was retired from PHEAA, and in retirement, she worked at her local VFW Post 537, Etters where she was a member. She was also a member of American Legion Post 998, Lawnton. Paula had many interests in life, but her passion was her family, and she treated her friends as extended family. She loved with all of her heart, and she will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Paula was born in Cumberland County, the daughter of the late Paul and Geraldine (Umholtz) Pickel.
She is survived by her husband of more than 37 years, Thomas D. Shuler; eldest son, Daniel and wife Maria of Bishopville, MD and son Samuel of Etters; brothers, Steve Pickel of TX and Timothy Pickel of FL; two grandsons, Vince and Carter; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Friday, May 20, 2022 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland. Visitation with the family will be held during a luncheon following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions in Paula's memory to Hospice of Central PA (Carolyn's House in memo line), 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
