Paula Ann (Theuer) Thimmesch, 76, a cherished mother, grandma, and great-grandma, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025, at her home in Glenville, MN, surrounded by her Family. Paula had a long battle with Heart and Kidney failure and was recently diagnosed with Dementia. Charles took care of her as her illnesses progressed.  A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday, February 28, 2025 at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral home in Albert Lea. A visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Thursday, February 27, 2025, along with a hour before the service at the funeral home. Chaplain Wendy Browne will be officiating.

She attended Blooming Prairie High School, where she met the love of her life, Charles Thimmesch. Charles and Paula were married on December 9, 1967. They were blessed with 57 years together.

Paula was in a women’s bowling league and also a couples' league. She also enjoyed a good game of Hand and Foot with the Card Club or on Sundays with her parents. Paula also enjoyed many camping adventures with her family and friends.

Paula's first passion was her family. Paula would do anything for her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time and doing crafts with them. She always made sure to find that perfect special gift for each of them. Paula’s grandkids were the sparkle in her eyes.

Paula had a magic green thumb when it came to her flowers and her garden. She enjoyed canning in the fall everything that she had grown all summer. She also enjoyed crocheting and baking; she made the most amazing chocolate chip cookies!! If you needed a recipe Paula more than likely had it somewhere, in a notebook or the back of an envelope even occasionally on a napkin, whatever was close to her when Partyline came on.

Paula enjoyed working at the Candle and Soap shop in Glenville. She also enjoyed her trips with friends to Branson. Paula was a woman who said few words but loved everyone.

Paula is survived by her husband Charles Thimmesch, and children Patty von Loesch, Bruce (Brieana)Thimmesch, Cheryl (Paul) Citurs, and Mark Thimmesch. Grandchildren Jordan Cornelius, Jessica (Kyle Stewart) Thimmesch, Alexandra (Adam) Larsen, Tyler Citurs, Samantha, Gracie and Felicia Thimmesch. Great-grandchildren Harley Thimmesch, Ashlynn Larsen, and Desmond Stewart. Step grandchild Kaitlyn Hanna. Brother Mike (Pat) Theuer, sisters Joann (Ray Coxworth) Fogal, and Betty Jameson.

She was preceded by her parents Henry and Darlene Theuer, sister Julie Theuer, Father and Mother in-law Mathias and Elizabeth Thimmesch, great- grandson Adrian Stewart, Brother-in-law Wayne Peschon and Micheal Jameson. Her fur baby Mick

Special thanks to St. Croix Hospice especially Brittany, and Erica. Also, Linda Bighley and Jody Anhorn.

Paula will be greatly missed but she is no longer in pain. So, when you see a beautiful flower, we know that she is still using that green thumb!
