Paulette Brown DuBose

Paulette Brown DuBose, 77, went to her heavenly home on November 23, 2025. She was born in Mt. Pleasant, Texas and was the daughter of Billie Inez Brown and Paul D Brown.

She lived the majority of her life in Mt. Pleasant where she worked as a bookkeeper for Stevens Meat Packing Plant and later as a secretary for Mt. Pleasant High School. Paulette went to school and earned her cosmetology license and also worked at times house sitting with those on hospice.

She was married to David Frank DuBose and is survived by daughter, Kristi Watson and daughter and son-in-law, Rachelle and Clint Collier of Pittsburg, Texas. Grandchildren Kamryn Watson, Zachry Watson, Derek Hobbs, Riley Hobbs, and Robert (Case) Collier, sisters Wanda Phillips and Marsha Denman, numerous nieces and a nephew.

She is preceded in death by her husband, David DuBose, her parents Billie and Paul D. Brown, her brother Billy Joe Brown, stepsister Betty Forbus and stepbrother James A. (Sonny) Brown.

Paulette was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She had a caring heart and strong faith. She was a beautiful soul that left an impact on all she met. She loved playing games with friends, playing the piano, and spending time with family.

The family would like to extend a special appreciation and thank you to the loving care and attention from Chambers Hospice and The Lodge Assisted Living staff. You have gone above and beyond for our mother and we are extremely grateful for each and every one of you.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, November 24, 2025 at the Bates Cooper Sloan Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at the Liberty Hill Cemetery.
