Paulette Elizabeth Lee (Jones), often called "Nana" by many, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at the age of 76. Paulette was born on August 8, 1948 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to William and Doris Jones (Webb). Paulette was educated in the Philadelphia Catholic School System and remained a practicing Catholic until her death. In February 1964, Paulette married William James Lee in Camden, New Jersey where they raised their family. Paulette loved living in the city and spent her life between Philadelphia, PA and Camden, NJ. Paulette was a retiree from Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden, New Jersey where she proudly worked as a member of the dietary team.
Paulette was predeceased by her father William Jones, her mother Doris Jones (Webb), her grandmother Helen Brown, her sister Roslyn Jones, her sister Joan Scales, her brother Benjamin Moore, her niece Tiwana Jones and two lifelong friends Isabelle (Marie) Ayres and Bea Anderson. Paulette is survived by her daughter Doris Torres (husband Angel), her son William Lee (wife Verna), her son Tyrone Lee (wife Frances), her son Lamont Lee (wife Katrice), her son Dwight Lee (wife Mary), her son Mark Lee (wife Lisa), her daughter Nicole Lee, daughter Edrina Lee and her son Eric Lee, her sisters Valerie Rouse, Crystal Jones and Viola Moore, her nieces and nephews, Michelle Puckett (husband Terrance), Michael Jones (wife Yvonne), Turhan Ways, Tina Jones, Sherrod Jones, Cory Jones, Dionne Jones, Myeshia Jones, Crystal Moore (husband Jon), Iesha Williams (husband Bruce), Eric Gamble, Shaque Moore, Rosalind Halloway, Diane Tyler, Rashae Moore and Benjamin Moore III, two special daughters Tina Parker and Joann Black, special friends Margaret Davis (husband Fayia), Paulette Banks, Pat Wanamaker, Dolores Streater Logan-El, Polly Watson, Mrs. Jones, a very dear friend Chris Dell, as well as, a host of cousins, grandchildren, great- grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, colleagues, neighbors and friends.
Paulette enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially time with "The Golden Girls" for luncheons and fellowship. Paulette also enjoyed listening to music, hosting Bingo for her neighbors, lending a helping hand to anyone that she knew was in need and playing the lottery. Paulette was a sister, loving mother, a loyal friend and confidant, a fun and hip grandmother, as well as, a great-grandmother and newly great-great-grandmother.
