Pauline “Larga” Lucero, 63 of La Loma, NM, passed away peacefully in her home on May 25, 2024.
Pauline was born on March 12, 1961 in Albuquerque, NM to John and Esther Langley.
Pauline was a true Denver Broncos fan until the very end. She was an avid outdoors person and enjoyed watching roping’s and rodeos, and loved socializing with all of her family and friends. Her love of music, especially Darren Cordova and her love of dancing was contagious to everyone around her.
Pauline spent many summers working construction as a flagger where she would often hold conversations with drivers just to make time pass by.
Pauline “Grammy” spent her very best years spending every moment with her grandchildren and had a big hand in helping raise them from the time they were born—these memories will be cherished forever!
Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved son: Leroy and her former husband and forever friend: Leroy Lucero.
Pauline is survived by her children: Jonathan (Patricia) Lucero, Denise (Patrick) Olguin and Erica (Aaron) Ratcliff—all of Anton Chico, NM, fourteen grandchildren: Julius, Cienna, Klay, Kasey, Jedrick, Dakotah, LeeAllen, KarterRose, Jake, LeRayah, L.J., JaNayah, Joseph and Abel, her sister: Maxine Langley, of Las Vegas, NM, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, May 31, 2024 at 9AM at San Jose Catholic Church in Anton Chico.
Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial, will begin at 10AM on Friday, May 31, 2024 at San Jose Catholic Church, with Father Timothy Meurer officiating the service.
Interment will follow at Dilia Cemetery in Dilia, NM with Ryan Wagoner, Josh Lucero, Marcus Garcia, J.T. Langley, Kevin Lucero, Antoinette Wallace, Dennis Aragon and Arnold Aragon serving as Pallbearers.
