Pauline Rhea Obituary

Pauline Faye Rhea, “Polly", 76, of Petersburg, a cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully with her family by her bedside on March 21, 2025, at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 12, 1948, in Dayton, Kentucky, and dedicated her professional life as a respected Nutritionist/Cashier at St. Elizabeth Hospital, where she retired and made a significant impact on everyone who knew her

Polly will be deeply missed by her beloved husband of 51 years, Phillip "Phil" Rhea, who stood by her side throughout her life. She is also survived by her son, Danny Rhea, and his wife, Sara; her daughter, Maryjo King, and her husband, Kriss; and her daughter, Serita Craddock, and her husband, Raymond; 7 grandchildren, Nicole Riley, Cheyenne, Sierra, Josh, Jeremiah, Elizabeth Craddock and Nick King and 3 great-grandchildren; long time friends (Golden Girls) Versa Hillard and Clara Ramsey. She also had 2 nieces, Debbie Adams and Belinda Cook and an extended family member, Mary Sue Edwards, whom she treated like her own child.

Polly's warm nature and nurturing spirit were felt by all who knew her she always wanted to put a smile on your face and always left an impression on you.

In addition to her immediate family, Polly was preceded in death by her father, Morris Sterling Adams (Teeny); mother Ethel Ishmael; sister Betty Jean Adams and nephew Tony Adams, leaving behind a legacy of loving memories that will continue to inspire her surviving loved ones.

Visitation for Polly Rhea will be held Monday, March 31, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home - Chapel A, located at 5336 Old Taylor Mill Road, Covington, Kentucky 41015. A Funeral Service will take place the following day, April 1, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM, also at Floral Hills Funeral Home - Chapel A. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Floral Hills is honored to serve the Rhea family.

The family would also like to recognize the LVAD team at Christ hospital.
