It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Paulita S. Ayala, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She went home to be with the Lord at the age of 98, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and kindness that will never be forgotten.
In her early years, she worked as a custodian before retiring to dedicate her life as a homemaker. But her true legacy was built inside her home, where she poured her love into her family and created a warm, welcoming place for all. She was a strong woman of God, and her faith was the cornerstone of her life. She found joy in playing the piano and singing in church, lifting her voice in praise to the Lord. She was gifted with her hands as well as her heart she loved to sew, and she was known for making the best tortillas with eggs and beans, always served with love. Her door was always open, and she made sure no one ever left her home without a meal, a smile, and a reminder that they were cared for.
Above all, she adored her children and grandchildren, who were her pride and joy. To her family, she leaves behind not only treasured memories, but also the lessons of faith, strength, and unconditional love. Her passing leaves an empty place in our hearts, but we take comfort in knowing she is now at rest in the presence of her Savior.
Though she is gone from our sight, she will forever remain in our hearts. She is survived by her sons Emilio Ayala & wife Corina Ayala, Antonio Ayala & wife Mary Louisa Ayala, Frank Ayala, and Richard Ayala & wife Patricia Ayala, 3 Daughters Fancy Carranza & son-n-law Antonio Carranza, Clementina Ayala, and Sylvia Ayala. She also left behind 1 sibling , her sister Lupe Alvarado. She was blessed with 34 grandchildren, 87 great-grandchildren and 28 great-great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jesus Sustaita & Marie Trejo. Her beloved husband Emilio Diaz Ayala Sr., daughter Maria Rosario Martinez, son Manuel S. Ayala. Brothers, Manuel Sustaita, Jesus Sustaita Jr., Isidro Sustaita & Abraham Sustaita. Sisters, Delfina Ybarra, Alvina Garza, Christina Sustaita, & Rachel Dixon.
Viewing will be held on Monday September 22nd from 5pm-7pm at Hillier Funeral Home, with funeral and burial to follow on Tuesday September 23rd at 10am at Wheelock Cemetery.
We rejoice knowing she is now in the arms of her Savior, reunited with loved ones who went before her. Her faith, love, and strength will continue to inspire us always.
