Pearl Ludean Alstat

Pearl Ludean Alstat, 61, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Carbondale Memorial Hospital.

Pearl was born on December 7, 1963, in Herrin to Robert Lee Simonds and Lulabelle Isbell. She was a 1981 graduate of Herrin High School. After graduating, Pearl joined the workforce and worked for Williamson County Program on aging for over 16 years, she later went on to work in the medical transporting field for over 13 years.

Pearl was united in marriage to Richard Lee Alstat in 1992. He preceded her in death on April 14, 2008. She was of the apostolic faith and attended West Monroe Apostolic Church in Herrin. She enjoyed going on drives, spending time with family and friends, and talking on the phone.

Pearl is survived by her children, Jeffrey Dwayne "JD" (Catherine Ryan) Severs, Jr. of Nashville, IL and Robert Lee Cody of Marion; three step-children from a previous marriage; significant other, Scott Nicely of Carbondale; siblings, Hank (Elizabeth) Isbell of Herrin, Karen (Gary Robinson) Isbell of Herrin, and Betty Walker of West Frankfort; several nieces and nephews, Jeffrey (Ruth Ann) Isbell, Caycee Isbell, Holly Isbell, Michael (Leah) Walker, Joseph Walker, Neaveh Walker, Marie Walker, Makayla Walker Jeremiah Reagan, and Karen (Tim) Norman; great nieces & nephews, Parker, Skylar, Keiman, Keire, Chloe, Sophia, and Brennan Reagan; first husband, Jeffrey Dwayne Severs, Sr. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard Lee Alstat; brother-in-law, Kelvin Walker.

Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City.

Funeral service will be 5:00 p.m., Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Pyle Funeral Home in Johnston City with Pastor Donnie Colson officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at Herrin City Cemetery at a later date.
