Pearl Doss Francis

Pearl Doss Francis, 70, of Gladstone, VA, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at her residence. She was the loving wife of Marcie Chester Francis, Sr.

Born in Lynchburg, VA, on September 18, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Betty McCormick and Ryland Doss. Pearl was a member of Bethel Bible Church. She worked as a certified nursing assistant at Babcock Manor and worked in the kitchen at Thomasville. Pearl loved her husband, her children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children, Betsy Trent, Jennie Henson and husband, Mike, Hope Francis, and Ryland Francis; nine grandchildren, Samantha, Courtney, PJ, Rebecca, Alexa, Kylia, Kalyn, CJ, and Jaxson; fourteen great-grandchildren; five siblings, Eddie Doss, Debbie Francis, Sharon Gregory and husband, Paul Reynolds, Renessa McCormick and husband, Dennis, and Robbie Doss; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dog, Bear.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by, one great-grandchild, Kaizley; and one brother-in-law, Marvin Francis II.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
