Obituary published on Legacy.com by The House of Day Funeral Service, Inc. from Apr. 3 to Apr. 7, 2025.
was born on September 30, 1942 in James Boyou Township, Missouri to the proud parents Seoilure Ellerson, Jr. and Bertha Ellerson. She was the only child to this union, but was the oldest child of
1 1children. She was endearingly called Pearl by her close family and friends.
Pearl had a beautiful heart, soul and spirit and anyone she met, she was always pleasant and kind. She received Christ into her life at an early age. She was a loyal member of Friendship Baptist Church in
Toledo, OH, under the leadership of Pastor Duane Tisdale. She graduated from Scott High School, in the Class of 1960. Pearl was gainfully employed throughout her life. She was a Dietician Aide and later changed her occupation when she was hired for a factory position at Burndy where she worked for several years. Then on July
28, 1975, she began her career with General Motors. After 32 years of service she retired on January 1, 2007 to begin living her best life as a retiree. She loved her family and enjoyed going to estate & garage sales, traveling, shopping, musical events, attending her daughter Kelly's comedy shows, she also assisted her sister-in-law Margaret Hollis with in-home care and would take her to play Bingo and go to the casino. Some people make a difference throughout your life but what mostly stands out about Pearl, is that her life was well lived and she was well loved by so many families members and friends.
Pearl found love during her life. In October 1964, she married her companion Will A. Williams, Sr., a marriage and bond that would last several year of her life. In this union she became the proud mother of five children, Laveeda, Will Jr., Glen, Carmen and Kelly. She later met her companion at General Motors, Mr. Arnold Heart and it became a companionship of more than 20 years. She enriched the lives of her family. She loved them and they loved her even more. Then in 2020, Pearl was met with COVID that attacked her heart and it caused other health challenges for her. But being a strong woman and a woman of faith, she never let things stop her from enjoying her family and her life.
Pearl departed this life on March 26, 2025, in the peacefulness of her home. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her Father Seoilure Ellerson, Jr.; her sons Glen Williams and Will A. Williams Jr.; and her siblings Dr. Laverne Hunter, Timothy Ellerson and Linda Jackins.
