Pedro Brandao Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McHoul Family Funeral Home on Feb. 28, 2026.
Pedro Cardoso Brandao, born on April 4, 1957, in Fogo, Cape Verde, and residing in Boston, Massachusetts, passed away on February 27, 2026. Pedro was a loving father, brother, and friend to many. His life was a rich tapestry of ambitious pursuits, hearty laughter, profound compassion, and humble acts of kindness.

Pedro had a deep love for life that was contagious. His laughter was so hearty that anyone in his presence couldn't help but join in. A lifelong fan of the Benfica soccer club, he was an avid player in his youth and his passion for the sport never waned. He was always ready for a game or to cheer on his favorite team. His other hobbies included spending quality time with his loved ones and immersing himself in the world of music, a pastime that brought him great joy and comfort. Pedro was a dedicated assembler in the manufacturing industry. His career, particularly during his impactful years at Gillette, was characterized by his strategic thinking, accountability, and collaborative spirit. Pedro didn't just accomplish goals, he inspired those around him to do the same with his funny, compassionate, and humble nature. As Albert Einstein once said, "Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile," and Pedro embodied this sentiment in every aspect of his life.

Pedro is survived by his daughter, Vilda Brandao; sons João Brandao and Joaquim Brandao; family member Adilson Ribeiro; siblings Guilherme, Maria Melia, and Manuel Agusto. He was preceded in death by his parents Francisco Barros and Angelica Brandeo; brothers João, Nazulino, Manuel Vaz, Antônio; sister Antoineta; and son, Carlos Brandão. A visitation will be held at St Peter's Parish-Dorchester, 311 Bowdoin Street, Boston, Massachusetts, 02122, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 9:00 am EST. This will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the same location at 10:00 am EST.

In Pedro's memory, we encourage you to leave your cherished memories and upload photos to his memorial page. As you remember Pedro, let his legacy of love, strength, and generosity be a source of inspiration and comfort. His life was a beautiful testament to the power of dedication, compassion, and joy. Let's honor his spirit by living our own lives with the same ambitious, funny, compassionate, and humble spirit that Pedro taught us all to cherish.
