Pedro Jimenez Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home LLC on Feb. 18, 2026.
Mr. Pedro Jimenez, who was 96 years old, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Cataño, Puerto Rico, and had been a resident of Davisville, Florida since 1950. His long life was filled with cherished moments and connections, and he will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

He was a kind and caring person who loved to read and learn. He had a big heart for animals and spent time taking care of them. Socializing with family and friends brought him joy, and he was never shy around new people. Alongside his work on the zoning board for the city of Atmore, he dedicated many years to coaching little league baseball, sharing his love for the game with young players. After serving twenty-five years in the US Navy, he retired with pride and continued to give back to his community through volunteer work. His passion for genealogy kept him busy as he enjoyed exploring his family's history.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Vicente and Laura Ocasio Jimenez; wife, Toni Jimenez; son, Ray Anthony Jimenez; two sisters and six brothers.

He is survived by his son, Pedro "Ike" Jimenez, and his wife, Peggy, who live in Mobile, Alabama. He also leaves behind three daughters: Toni Silcox from Pensacola, Florida, Belinda Colbert and her husband Wayne from Davisville, Florida, and Laura Berry and her husband Sammy from Bratt, Florida. In addition to his children, he is remembered by thirteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren, all of whom cherish his memory.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
