Peg A. Sanderlin

Peg A. Sanderlin, 72, of Chesapeake, Virginia, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026. Born February 14, 1953, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Peg lived a life rooted in love, faith, and service to others.

During the 1980s, Peg worked as an executive secretary at various levels at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. In the 1990s, she transitioned into a career as a legal secretary in Center City, Philadelphia, a role she continued into the 2000s.

Family was at the heart of Peg's life. Raised in a large, close-knit family, she cherished time spent with loved ones and found joy in family gatherings. She also enjoyed traveling and dearly loved her dogs. A loyal sports fan, Peg supported the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Phillies.

Peg was a devoted Catholic and served as a Eucharistic minister. She was an avid supporter of Joyce Meyer Ministries and regularly attended Women of Faith conferences, as well as Catholic retreat weekends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas J. Cullen, and her brothers, William, Daniel, Michael, Frank, and Thomas Cullen. She is survived by her mother, Julie M. Cullen of Virginia Beach; her sons, Russ Sanderlin of West Deptford, NJ, Dan Sanderlin of Quakertown, PA, and Michael Sanderlin of Philadelphia, PA; her sisters, Joan Miller and Catherine Cullen of Virginia Beach, VA, and Mary Cullen of Sewell, NJ; and her brother, Russell Cullen of San Antonio, TX.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Oman Funeral Home, 653 Cedar Rd., Chesapeake, VA. Family and friends are invited to share memories and condolences at www.omanfh.com.

Peg's warmth, faith, and devotion to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
