It would be difficult to imagine a woman loved more by her family than Margaret Mary Ryman. Margaret Mary "Peggie" Ryman (nee Walsh) was born on December 16, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois to Lydia (Buralli) Walsh and Thomas Joseph Walsh. She was the Irish apple of her father's eye and her mother's best friend through her life and caregiver in her final days. In this and so many other ways, Peggie lovingly gave of herself to those she cared for most – her husband, daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Michael Millard Ryman; her four daughters: Suzanne Buren (Paul Buren), Danielle Ryman (Christopher Rygh), Anjeanette (C-C) Tenholder (Mark Tenholder), and Nicole Ryman; her cherished seven grandchildren: Madeline (Buren) Dean (Jordan Dean), Thomas John Buren (Hanna Buren), Nicholas Tenholder, Isabelle Oberlatz, Jack Tenholder, Alexandra Tenholder, Bryn Oberlatz; and her precious great-grandchildren: James Paul Dean, James Hudson Dean and a third baby Dean on the way.
Peggie was a successful real estate agent and appraiser, but her most treasured title was mother. Peggie's daughters adored her. She was their best friend, wisest counsel, and person they all loved to laugh with most. She was known best for her laid-back easy going way and her devotion to the Catholic faith. The only person who matched Peggie's daughters' love was that of her husband Michael. Michael was Peggie's best friend and life-long love.
Peggie fought cancer from the moment that she was diagnosed nearly five years ago because she wanted to enjoy life until the end. On March 26, 2025, the Lord eventually called her to be with Him.
