Peggy Stinson Ballew

Mrs. Peggy Stinson Ballew, age 86, of Chatsworth, passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Peggy was a loving mother and a pastor's wife for more than 50 years. A member of Eastbrook Baptist Church, she was known for her strong faith, devoted prayer life, and warm spirit. A natural hugger, she shared God's love freely and lived as a lady of deep faith with love for all of those around her, especially her family.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Rev. Bobby Ballew; parents, John Herschel Stinson and Lizzie Louise Stinson; brother and sister-in-law, Richard Dennis Stinson and Ruth Stinson; sister, Becky Brackett; and her grandson, Jason Ballew.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Rev. Danny Gazaway of Chatsworth; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Karen Ballew of Chatsworth, and Rev. Daryl and Beth Ballew of Tunnel Hill, GA; sister and brothers-in-law, Mary and Kenneth Arnold of Chatsworth, and William Brackett of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Ginger Daffron, Valerie Sisson, Cameron Ballew, and Andy Ballew; great-grandchildren, Brayden Ballew, Judah Ballew, Elijah Daffron, Kensli Ballew, Jase Ballew, Mac Ballew, Lucy Ballew, Charlie Ballew, and Bella Sisson; extended family also survives.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Community Hospice for taking such great care of their mother.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Peggy Stinson Ballew will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Daryl Ballew and Rev. Danny Gazaway officiating. Interment will follow at West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 12:00 pm until the service hour.
