With a remarkable career in the medical field, Peggy excelled as a manager and administrative teacher, notably managing a Worker’s Compensation Medical Clinic and concluding her professional journey as the manager of the Cardiac Fellowship Program at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital. Her commitment to her work exemplified her caring nature and strong work ethic. Even in her retirement, she always maintained a busy lifestyle, by volunteering at Manna consistently every week.
A cherished member of the 1st Methodist Church in Weatherford, Peggy was celebrated not only for her professional contributions but also for her exceptional culinary skills. Known as one of the world’s best cooks, she delighted family and friends with her delicious meals. Outside of her professional and culinary pursuits, Peggy found joy in sewing, playing cards, and entertaining those around her.
She also loved the mountains, where she owned a cabin that served as a special retreat. Peggy was dedicated to her mountain community, where she played a pivotal role in initiating and helping to build a firehouse - a space that became a gathering place for volunteer firefighters from the community to rest, train, maintain equipment, and prepare for emergencies. It also became a place to have communal activities.
Peggy is lovingly remembered by her family and many loving friends whose lives she touched throughout her lifetime.
A graveside inurnment service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 14, 2025, at the Curtis Cemetery in Weatherford, Texas, where we will honor her memory and the legacy she leaves behind.
