Mrs. Peggy Joe Champ, 69 of Princeton died Friday, October 6, 2006, at the Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke Virginia. Born June 27, 1937, at Beckley, she was the daughter of the late Oscar & Macie Graham Adams. She grew up at Amigo and was educated in Wyoming County. Peggy was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith, Lashmeet. Peggy was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed life, especially watching WWF and making her family and friends laugh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Champ, Jr. along with four sisters; Wanda, Elizabeth, Shirley and Laura. Survivors Her Children and their spouses James Wesley & Sharon Champ of Princeton Anthony Wayne �Tony� & Cheryl Champ of Wendell, NC Johnnie Ray & Loretta Champ of Lerona Steven Eugene & Amanda Champ of Matoaka Ruby Diane & David Wright of Athens Rita Faye & Michael Blankenship of Princeton Susan Ann & John Overbay of Princeton 22 Grandchildren 9 Great Grandchildren Siblings Paris Adams Acie Adams both of Winston Salem NC Sandy Miller of Wayside Linda Spain of Kingston NC Judy Shrewsbury of Mt. Airy NC Edith Bowling of Dobson NC Becky Murdock of Fayetteville A host of nephews and nieces A service of celebration will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 14, 2006 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor George (Brother Fred) Browning officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens on the Courthouse Road in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family Friday from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be her four sons, and David Eugene Wright and David Edward Wright.
