Peggy Curry

Peggy Edwards Curry, 89, of Waterbury, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Born in Anderson, South Carolina, she was the beloved daughter of the late Carrie and Wade Edwards. Peggy made Connecticut her home 74 years ago, traveling north with her late husband, J.C. Franklin Curry, with whom she built a life rooted in love, faith, and family. A true matriarch, she was cherished not only by her own family but by her entire community, who loved her as one of their own.
Peggy's joy shone brightest when she was praising God, gathering with loved ones, and cooking meals to ensure no one ever went without. Her warmth filled every room she entered. In her younger years, she was known for her lively spirit and loved to dance and celebrate-especially during memorable gatherings in the family garage on Cooke Street.
She leaves to honor and cherish her memory: two daughters, Tammie Curry and Regina (Curry) Daniels; one son, Jeffery Curry; and her devoted son-in-law, James Daniels, all of Waterbury. She was predeceased by her sister, Beatrice Young; and brother, Robert Edwards, both of Anderson, South Carolina. Peggy's legacy continues through her 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and a loving host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts.
