Peggy Marie Farence, passed away on October 27, 2025, at the age of 94, in her hometown of Lakeland, Florida. Born on June 13, 1931, to Charles Matthew Baker and Viola Cole Baker, Peggy's life was a testament to her enduring faith and her unwavering commitment to her family and community.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Clifford Baker, Barbara Baker Beatty, and Warren Baker. She is survived by her devoted children, Terresa Fye Carrier, Kenneth Fye, and Eden Konishi; her beloved eight grandchildren; and her adored eleven great-grandchildren, who brought endless joy and pride to her life.
A member of Lakes Church, Peggy's faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She dedicated countless hours to volunteering and was deeply involved in church activities, embodying the spirit of service. Her hands, always busy, sewed clothes for the homeless and crafted garments for missionaries to distribute to children and families in the Amazon, weaving threads of compassion into every stitch.
Peggy's kindness extended beyond her charitable work. She never forgot a single birthday and ensured that everyone received a heartfelt card on their special day. Her love for her grandchildren was evident in the countless items she made for them, each piece an expression of her affection.
An avid seamstress, Peggy's talents with knitting and crocheting were unparalleled. She crafted hats for the homeless, each one carrying the warmth of her kind heart. Her creative spirit was a source of inspiration to all who knew her, and her handmade gifts will be treasured for generations.
Peggy Marie Farence's life was a beautiful tapestry of devotion, love, and creativity. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, her church community, and all who were blessed to know her. As we say farewell to this extraordinary woman, we celebrate the legacy of love she leaves behind-a legacy that will continue to inspire and guide us for years to come.
