Peggy Folstrom, age 78 of Ortonville, passed away on March 3, 2024, in Ortonville.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Mundwiler Funeral Home in Milbank. Visitation will be held one hour to the service. Burial will be at a later date.

Peggy Eileen Kono Folstrom was born on November 12, 1945, in Newton, IA. She was the daughter of Cecil Raymond Kono and Frances Jean (Brooks) Kono. Peggy grew up in the Minneapolis, MN area. She graduated from Spring Lake Park High School with the Class of 1963.
Peggy was united in marriage with Dale Jacob Folstrom. They were blessed to adopt three children: Lachlan, Betsy, and Jaret. Peggy did clerical work for NW Bell Telephone Company for many years. She also worked as a restaurant and nursing home cook.
Peggy loved to read, especially romance novels. She was an excellent cook and provided delicious meals for her family. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Peggy loved to visit and would stay on the phone for hours! She had a kind and generous spirit, and always put others needs in front of her own. Most important to Peggy was her family. She adored her three grandchildren, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Peggy moved to Ortonville to be closer to her sister, Marcia. She has lived the past three years at Fairway View Neighborhoods in Ortonville.
Peggy Folstrom is survived by three children: Lachlan Folstrom of Forest Lake, MN; Betsy Schloegl of Columbia Heights, MN; and Jaret (Viktoriya) Folstrom of Columbia Heights, MN; sister, Marcia Gangl of Ortonville, MN; three grandchildren: Tony Schloegl, Tiffany Schloegl, and Alexander Folstrom; five nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; sister-in-law, Mary Kono of Minneapolis, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents: Raymond and Frances; husband, Dale; and one brother, Kenneth Kono.
