Peggy Ann Gerard of Abington, Pa. passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 atNeshaminy Manor Nursing Home from complications of the Coronavirus.She was 87years old. Born in Altoona, Pa. she was the daughter of the late John and Alline (neeHurm) German. She was the loving mother of Stephen (Jane) Curtis and David (Mary) Curtis and the sister of Morea Roddy, John (Susan) German and Guy German.Also surviving are her 3 grandchildren, David, Greg and Renee. Peggy was a member of the Altoona High School Alumni Association.She was a graduate of Jefferson Hospital School of Nursing and retired from Neshaminy Manor Nursing Home as a Supervisor. Peggy was a member of the Neshaminy Manor Retiree's Association. Peggy was active in her church, New Life Presbyterian of Glenside and attended weekly Bible Study. She enjoyed gardening, vacationing at the shore with her family, keeping up with her family tree and connecting with family. Peggy loved animals and once raised a seeing eye dog. She was also a knowledgeable bird watcher. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Peggy's memorial service will be held privately. A more public memorial service is being planned for the spring. As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. I worked with Peg for many years she was great at her supervising position and her care for her residents...she will be missed at our next reunion get together.
