An absolute legend! Aunt Peggy´s love and joy and humor poured out from her like a river and permeated through her home full of incredible treasure. I love that my children, her great great nieces and nephew, and my cousins and their children along with our parents were able to visit her and hang out and swim in her pool just a few years ago. Aunt Peggy was the best conversationalist and sharp as a tack & there was nothing but joy and smiles all around. She is the definition of a life well lived and she left an incredible mark in the world & in all of her family, extended included. We love you, Aunt Peggy! Enjoy your eternal heavenly reward. :-)

Aunt Peggy was an exceptional lady in all ways. Such love and happiness filled a room when she was present or even mentioned. The last time I saw her was a few years ago and she was still absolutely the same, welcoming my nephew and me into her home with grand hospitality. I remember the first thanksgiving I had with the Golden family back in the early 80´s. I felt part of the family from the very beginning. I loved Aunt Peggy and she will be greatly missed but her memory will continue on forever.

To Coker, Frank, and Greg:
I loved your mother so very much, she was like a second Mom, when you all lived across and up one house from us in McCracken Heights. She was also my 9th grade girls PE teacher. Just recently, I was looking at my hands and remember playing basketball in the gym at Junior High. It seemed that every time I tried to catch the ball, it would hit my middle finger and cause much pain in my hands, but your mother was always on the spot with a rag to wet with some alcohol which she would wrap around the finger, and it always worked to straighten it out, and back on the court I would go! She pushed us to work harder, be better, and love life.
I haven't lived in Sanford (or the States at all) in many years, but once when I was back there visiting, I went to see her in the house in West Lake Valley and we talked and laughed and it felt like those old "family" days...
Here in Israel when a loved one dies, we say "Baruch Dayan HaEmet" - it translates to "Blessed is the True Judge" (that would be God, and I add, "for only HE knows all our days"). May your memories of your wonderful mother always be for you a blessing.
Please give ALL the family my greetings and condolences. Much love to you all.

To the entire Golden Family, what great memories of your mother I have living across the street from her and your dad and all of you while growing up. Never a dull moment having y'all cross the street to the Pomeranz Pool in the summers or us, even being younger than all the rest, hanging out at the Goldens and your mom and our mom being great friends. and of course.. wouldn't have been a Squid without your mom.
Love and hugs and condolences on her passing.
