Peggy Rose Lucado Grubb, 88 of Roanoke Va, passed away on August 19, 2025, after a long battle with COPD. She was born on August 26, 1936, in Roanoke to the late Terry Thomas (Jack) Lucado and Mary Virginia Lucado. She is also preceded in death by her husband Carl S. Grubb.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Rhonda K. Thomas, and son-in-law Lester R. Thomas, grandchild Mix Thomas and granddaughter-in-law Casey Bridgers. She leaves behind her beloved dog Lucy, who was her faithful companion.

Peggy was a life-long resident of Salem area. She worked as cashier at K&W Cafeteria in Salem until retirement at age 80, where she became well-known to many in the community. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, going out to lunch with "the girls" and double chocolate chunk cookies. She was a faithful member of West Side Church of Christ. Peggy lived a simple life that was filled with kindness, faith and love for her family.

There will be a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at The West Side Church of Christ located at 1705 Starview Drive in Salem at 2pm. Casual attire welcomed. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite animal rescue organization.
