Peggy Harmon Hicks, age 54, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Johnson City Medical Center. She was born January 9, 1971 to Carrie Harmon and the late Clint Harmon.
Peggy was known for being a good person with a heart of gold. She liked going out with her friends and playing jokes on people. Peggy was an avid reader and loved her dogs, especially Trixie.
Those left to cherish her memories include her husband, Bobby Hicks; mother, Carrie Harmon; daughter, Jessica Hicks; son, William Hicks; aunt and uncle, Carla and Bob Harper, and their children, Robert Harper and Amanda Harper; friends, Nicky Maine, Tracy Nunley, Kristy Smith, and Tristan Bunting.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Preacher Brian Miller officiating. The graveside service and burial will be held at 3:30 p.m. at the Harmon Cemetery (184 H.C. Presnell Lane, Banner Elk, NC) following the funeral. Pallbearers will be Robert Harper, Bob Harper, Bruce Reece Jr., Bob Roark, David Roark, and Ray Potter. Honorary pallbearers are Brandon Maine and Tristan Bunting.
