Peggy Eidson Kepler

1938 - 2026

Peggy Eidson Kepler, born on July 18, 1938, passed away on February 11, 2026, in Graeagle, CA, after a courageous battle with dementia. She was 87 years old. Peggy was a beloved figure in her community and cherished by her family. She was the loving mother of Cheri Kepler of Graeagle, CA, and grandmother to Ashley DeHann (Tony) of Salt Lake City, UT. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Maximus, Rocky, and Alice. Her nephew Rusty Stohlman from Meadow Valley, CA, survives her as well. Peggy was preceded in death by her son, Darrel Kepler; her husband, Raymond Kepler; her sister, Doris Anders; and her nephew, Randy Stohlman. Peggy had an active and fulfilling life. She attended Gridley Elementary Schools and Gridley Union High School. Professionally, she worked at Sycamore School and later for Eugene Higgins, OD, before joining Granite Construction as a Flag Person, contributing significantly to projects around the Lake Tahoe Basin. Beyond her professional life, Peggy was passionate about the outdoors and sports. She was an avid tennis player, golfer, and enjoyed snow skiing and fishing with her family. She also modeled in several fashion shows and was a tennis instructor alongside her sister Doris. Known for her zest for life, Peggy and her sister were famous for their lively Fourth of July parties and beautifully decorated Christmas trees. A private interment for Peggy will be held at Gridley Cemetery at a later date. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched with her vibrant spirit and loving nature.
