Memorial service for Peggy Murr will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 15, at the Orr Gray Gish Chapel with Quinton Murr officiating.
Peggy passed away Saturday, December 9, at her home.
She was born the 7th of 11 children in Holdenville, OK. Her family attended Lums Chapel, in Littleton, Texas, where Peggy was saved and baptized. Her family moved to Levelland, in west Texas at her early age. Peggy graduated from Levelland High School in Levelland, TX, afterwards she attended South Plains College and obtained her LVN license. She worked for a year at a small hospital in Levelland. Then she married and had a son Dewayne. Years later she met Craig. Peggy and Craig had a wonderful relationship that began in the early 90s until her passing. They met square dancing and were inseparable ever since, you never saw one without the other. She loved helping Craig with anything, especially cattle work. Peggy enjoyed all things horses, league bowling, square-dancing, antiquing, sewing & crafting, especially with her sister, Ruth, and working outdoors. Peggy worked for Continental Airlines at Dallas/Ft. Worth airport; Pak & Ship, Unique Gift Wrapping & More, Frederick Florist, Boll Weavil Eradication, and 14 years at Red River Transportation-which Peggy said was her absolute favorite job. She had a sincere love and exhibited a deep level of care for the patients she transported.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Omer & Koie (Goldforth) Rogers, Dan Puckett, the father of her son Dwayne, and her four brothers; Harry, Joe, Buddy, & Jimmy.
