Peggy W. Peaden, 89, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025.

Visitation will be 10:00 – 11:00am on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Carlisle Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 11:00am in the Chapel with Rev. Stephen Duncan officiating the service. Burial will follow at Macclesfield Cemetery.

Peggy, affectionately known as "Red," was a woman with a truly big heart who loved her family with unwavering passion. She found joy in the kitchen, especially when cooking for her loved ones or passing down the tradition of making Southern cornbread.

Peggy's unique personality made her unforgettable, and her strong work ethic was admired by all who knew her. On Friday nights, she loved to dance and enjoy the music, always bringing energy and joy wherever she went. Every morning, she made her way to Abrams, where a hot cheese biscuit was her simple but favorite treat. Her warmth, love, and zest for life will be deeply missed.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Pattie Webb; husband, Walter David Peaden; daughter, Betty Lee Webb; and siblings, Annie W. Baker, Eddie Webb, James Garry (Buddy) Webb Jr., Nannie Webb Reason, and Beatrice Webb.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Brittany Royston (Micheal), David Timothy Webb Jr. (Stephanie), and Joseph Webb; great grandchildren, Bennett Royston, Ryder Webb, and Paxton Webb; son-in-law, Tim Webb; nieces, nephews, and cousins, Jeannie Webb Norris, Jimmy Patrick Webb (Dink), Clark Gary Webb, Linda Baker Daughtridge, Patsy Baker Vickers, Nikki Baker Nusbaum, Bob Downing (Lou Baker Deceased).
