Peggy Sessions Robinson

Peggy Sessions Robinson, 71, died January 3, 2026.

She was born to Kelly Williams and Timothy Greene in Hemingway, South Carolina, on November 11, 1954. Peggy attended school in Hemingway, South Carolina, and graduated from Chabis High School.

She later moved to New Haven, Connecticut, in 1991 after living in Lake City, South Carolina, for many years. Peggy later married George Robinson, and they were married for over 35 years.

Peggy was a very easy going person, very loving and kind hearted at all times. She loved her family the most and also loved shopping. She worked for the New Haven Crossing Guard System. Peggy left no children behind.

Peggy was preceded in death by Clorah Sessions (grandmother), Wesley Sessions (grandfather), Ricky Williams (brother), and Sky Monae Henry (niece).

Peggy is survived by her husband, George Robinson; her mother, Kelly Williams; sister Cynthia Williams; brothers Kenneth Williams and Martin Kennedy; nieces Shanette Williams and Tasha Williams; nephews Dwayne Williams, Howard Williams, and Karter James; Sister-in-law Leatrice Williams a host of great-nieces, great-nephews and family and friends.

A celebration of Peggy's life will take place on Friday, January 16, 2026 at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, CT, 06514. A viewing will start at 10:00am with a service to follow at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery 769 Ella T Grasso Blvd. New Haven, CT.
