Deborah J Shilinski

Deborah J. Shilinski, 77, of Branford, CT, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026.

Deborah, loving wife of Robert J. Shilinski for 55 years, was born on August 4, 1948. The daughter of the late Albert and Helen (Bellus) Slimak and sister of the late Robert W. Slimak. In addition to her husband, Deborah is survived by her son Michael T Shilinski and his wife Carolyn of Pleasantville, NY, her daughter Jana Gallagher and her husband Brendan of Branford, CT along with her three grandsons, Andrew Shilinski, Ethan Shilinski, and Liam Gallagher.

After graduating from Hamden High School, she worked as an admitting officer at Yale New Haven Hospital until starting a family. Deborah was fortunate to stay at home with her two children during their younger years before returning to the workforce to take a position at Digestive Disease Associates in Branford, CT, where she spent over 25 years before retiring. Deborah was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed spending her days out and about with her friends and family, and always looked forward to planning the next trip to Las Vegas. Deborah was most proud to share stories and spend time with her three grandsons.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden, CT, 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at St. Mary's Church, 731 Main Street, Branford, CT at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation in Deborah's name to The Mary Wade Home, Inc. in New Haven, CT.
