Lance Schlottman Obituary
December 18, 1970 - February 24, 2025
Lance Christopher Schlottman, 55, of East Haven, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Yale New Haven Hospital. Lance was born in New Haven on December 18, 1970, to his loving parents, Ralph and Shirley Schlottman. He attended Notre Dame High School and later graduated from East Haven High School in 1989. Lance was incredibly handy, intelligent, outgoing, and sociable, always enjoying time spent with family and friends. He was an avid sports fan who loved watching UConn basketball and cheering on the New York Yankees.
Lance is survived by his father, Ralph Schlottman, and his mother, Shirley Schlottman; his brothers, Keith (Kimberly) Schlottman and Ralph (Jennifer) Schlottman; his nieces, Kylie Schlottman, Samantha Schlottman, and Caitlyn Jones; his great-nephew, Owen Cerri; and his beloved dog Murphy.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Yale New Haven Hospital, along with the East Haven Fire Department and EMS, for the exceptional care they provided him.
Services and burial are private. The family kindly requests that donations be made to Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter in Branford, an organization that held a special place in Lance's heart. Just heard of this very sad news.Lance worked for me 37 years ago at Finast Supermarket on Middletown Avenue North Haven.He was the first guy so hired when I was the manager of Produce..He had a great work ethic.He was liked by everyone.I caught up with hime years later when he was a plumber on state street.My thoughts and prayers go out for all.Bob.

I´m so sorry to hear of Lances passing. He was so kind to my dad, helping him with many things around his home, including checking in on my brother after his passing. You raised a very thoughtful son.
