Obituary of Peggy Skibo
Peggy H. Skibo (April 4, 1936–12/23/2023)
Peggy Hardesty Skibo, 87, of Dent, MN, passed away on 12/23/23 after a brief illness.
She was born in Whitman, West Virginia in 1936 to William and Zida Hardesty. Peggy attended Logan High School and graduated in 1954 before moving to Chicago, IL where she worked at Western Electric and married Robert Skibo on 11/1/1955. In 1967, she moved to Grand Forks, North Dakota and then moved to Edina, MN in 1973 where she earned her real estate license. She retired in 1993 and split time between Surprise, AZ and Dent, MN. She loved being a snowbird and spending time between both places.
Peggy was preceded in death by parents William and Zida Hardesty, brothers William Hardesty Jr, Phillip Hardesty and Larry Hardesty and is survived by beloved husband Robert Skibo, two children Janet (Curtis) Glaeser, Mary (Mark) Anderson; sister Francis Frye; five grandchildren; Julia, Drew, Brandon, Daniel, Megan and Brett and ten great grandchildren.
She enjoyed going to coffee with her lake friends, family meals around the table, solving the daily Wordle and playing bingo at Billy's. She also was a devote Christian and enjoyed going to Calvary Lutheran Church.
A Celebration of Life in remembrance will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the Perham Living nursing home for the special care they provided during this difficult time.
