Peggy Veach Obituary
Peggy was born and raised in McGregor, Texas. She met and married Donald Sheppard Sr. who was from Waco, Texas in 1950. They had three children while living in Houston and a fourth after moving to Alvin, Texas. Peggy spent 41 adventurous and loving years with Don. They opened an auto parts store in Alvin, Texas, developed real estate in Cortez, Colorado and created a beautiful RV park in Escalante, Utah. In their spare time, if you can believe they had any, they loved to travel and spend time at the lake. Peggy was always a supportive loving wife and great business partner. Donald went to his Savior in 1991.
Peggy spent time with her children and grandchildren after Don's passing and fell in love again. She married Jack Veach in 2005. It was full circle as Jack lived in Alvin, Texas of all places. They spent 19 wonderful years together. They loved to travel with friends and would take every opportunity to jump in the car for trip together.
In her free time, Peggy enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, playing board games and cards, reading books, learning about other people's lives, watching "her" tv shows and cheering on the Houston Astros and Houston Texans. Her friends and family describe her as loving, caring, fun, a great listener and dedicated. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Jack Veach, her sister, Frankie, her children, Donald Jr., Johnny (Kathy), Teresa (Joe), and Cathy (Rick). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Peggy's name to: The American Heart Association at Heart.org or Dementia Society of America®**
Peggy will be remembered and honored with a private family gathering in Colorado
